AIRFORCE INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY (AFIT)

The Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) is a Monotechnics Institution and provider of National Diploma and Higher National Diploma. It supports the Nigeria Air Force (NAF) and civilian communities by provision of Basic Training on Aeronautics, Aerospace Engineering and Avionics, Electrical Electronics and Business Management as part of course offered in the Institution. AFIT was founded in 1977 with the name NAF Technical and Supply School (TSS). The Institute was renamed in 1979 as Technical Training Wing. By the year 2000, its identity was changed to 320 Technical Training Group (320 TTG). It was created to manage Aircraft and Equipment bought during Nigerian Civil War in 1967. ELECTRICAL ELECTRONIC ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY

The purpose of Education at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering is to further enrich society by nurturing Engineers who are well versed in next-generation energy, Electronic elements and Electronic Systemization Technology. With this aim to deliver education, the Department is responsible for training both Military and Civilian alike, Electronics and Information technology (Basic). This educational system cultivates advanced problem-solving ability and broad viewpoints, and generates numerous graduates who work on the global front lines of technology. The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering offers a practical curriculum that combines lectures covering subjects such as Electric circuits, Electromagnetism and Electronic circuits. The department is saddled with the responsibility to train personnel on Information Technology on Basic Course for Airmen of the NAF. It also award both National Diploma Certificate and Higher National Diploma Certificate among other Certificate it present it personnel who participated in various Basic, Advance and Upgrading Courses it offers.
